This project is meant to convey the essential characteristics of the Baskerville font. The parameters of this project required the inclusion of the chosen typeface's name, the designer's name, the alphabet, one set of numbers, and the date of issue. 

To begin working on my design, I researched the typeface's founding and uses as well as the contributions of the type's creator, John Baskerville.

I took inspiration from the innovated text structure John Baskerville developed as part of his efforts to create a perfect typeface which used wide margins and generous leading to let text breath on the page and focus the attention of the reader. I chose a two column arrangement to create more visual variety in showcasing the different styles of Baskerville: Upright, Inclined, and Bold.

Baskerville typeface remains a legible and distinguished typeface that has been treated well by time, still being used in leading educational institutions.
